At Adventure Awaits, we know that travel plans can change — sometimes because of weather, sometimes because of life. While we try to be as flexible as possible, every trip involves advance planning, reservations, and logistics. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for our group and private tours.
Cancellations by Travelers
- 30 days or more before departure: Eligible for a full refund, minus a small processing fee.
- 15–29 days before departure: Eligible for a 50% refund of the total trip cost.
- 7–14 days before departure: Eligible for a 25% refund of the total trip cost.
- Less than 7 days before departure or no-show: No refund, as arrangements are already confirmed.
Cancellations by Adventure Awaits
If we ever need to cancel a trip due to unavoidable reasons (natural disasters, government restrictions, low group size, etc.):
- You will receive a full refund of the amount paid, or
- You may choose to transfer the booking to another upcoming trip of equal value.
We’ll always communicate transparently and as early as possible.
Refund Process
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days of cancellation approval.
- Refunds are credited back to the original payment method (bank transfer, UPI, card, etc.).
- For part-payments or advance deposits, refund eligibility is based on the total trip cost and timeline above.
Non-Refundable Costs
Certain costs are non-refundable as they are paid in advance to secure your bookings:
- Train/flight tickets (if booked through us)
- Permits, activity passes, and entry fees
- Special festival departures or peak-season trips may have stricter policies (mentioned in trip details).
Trip Modifications
- You may request to reschedule or transfer your booking to another departure (subject to availability) instead of cancellation.
- Any difference in trip cost will need to be settled accordingly.
Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)
In cases of natural calamities, political unrest, pandemics, or government restrictions, refunds may not be possible. Instead, we will issue a travel credit that can be used for future trips.
