Hampi Trip with Adventure Awaits

Hampi, nestled in Karnataka on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, is one of India’s most evocative heritage destinations. A mesmerizing blend of ruined temples, boulder-strewn landscapes, riverside vistas, and tranquil ambience makes it ideal for a weekend escape. For travelers from Mumbai or Pune, a curated 2- or 3-night package can compress the essentials of Hampi into a fulfilling short break.

Our weekend tour package includes comfortable travel, guided sightseeing, authentic local experiences, and rest, ensuring you soak in Hampi’s magic without the typical hassles of planning.

Main Highlights You’ll Experience

  • Virupaksha Temple (still active)
  • Stone Chariot and musical pillars at Vittala Temple
  • Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Queen’s Bath, Royal Enclosure
  • Riverside life on Hippie Island
  • Coracle ride on the Tungabhadra
  • Sunset and sunrise viewpoints (Hemakuta, Matanga, Anjanadri)
  • Anegundi hamlet, Durga Temple, cave explorations
  • Optional nature & wildlife side visits (e.g. Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary)

Why Choose a Weekend Tour Package?

  • Pre-planned logistics: transport, local transfers, accommodation, guides are all handled
  • More efficient itinerary: maximize what you see in limited time
  • Safety & support: local knowledge helps avoid lost time, ensure route accuracy
  • Shared experience & cost sharing: group travel often makes premium services more affordable

Travel & Connectivity
From Mumbai, the journey (by road) covers about 700+ km, typically via NH48 → Belgaum → Hubli → Hospet. Buses often take 12–13 hours. Overnight train + onward local transfer is a preferred option. From Pune, the route is shorter and many tour groups use Pune as a departure hub. The nearest railway station is Hospet Junction, about 13 km from Hampi.

Best Time to Visit
The ideal season is October to February, when the weather is cooler, skies are clearer, and exploration is comfortable. Summers (March–May) get scorching, and monsoon (June–September) may limit accessibility and surprise you with rain.

Accommodations & Food
You’ll find a range of stays — guesthouses, boutique homestays, budget lodges — around Hampi Bazaar, Kamalapur, or in Anegundi. Many tour packages include lodging on a shared or twin-sharing basis. Meals are often South Indian menus or regional vegetarian cuisine. Homestyle cafés on the riverside or on Hippie Island also add variety.

Things to Pack & Travel Tips

  • Good walking shoes, comfortable clothes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Light rain jacket (if you travel close to monsoon)
  • Daypack, reusable water bottle, snacks
  • Power bank, camera
  • Mosquito repellent, basic medicines
  • Identity proof (for travel / booking)
  • Permit or permission (if required for protected zones)

Precautions & Notes

  • Some ruins are spread out — plan for walking times or bicycle / scooter rentals
  • Avoid exploring isolated ruins after dark
  • Ensure you carry sufficient water, especially in summer
  • Respect local heritage rules (no littering, no vandalism)
  • Group sizes are often limited; book early for peak seasons

A weekend trip to Hampi from Mumbai or Pune allows you to step away from urban pace and dive into centuries of history, a surreal rockscape, and soulful quietude. A well-designed tour package ensures you maximize your experience while minimizing hassles.
